The Old Cooks House BB

Brownlow is located between Hindhead and Grayshott and just 2 miles from Haslemere. It was built in 1913 and is a fine example of an Edwardian home.

The Old Cook’s House offers our guests their own private entrance so you can come and go as you please. The accommodation was once the servants quarters of the property. It offers a large fully equipped kitchen, dining and lounge area, double room, twin room and a bathroom which is ideal for groups and families, as well as couples wanting to escape. We are a family and pet friendly B&B and self catering accommodation.

There is also an additional laundry room and the entrance hall also acts as an additional utility room.
It is well equipped for children as well as babies. We have a travel cot, Thomas the Tank Engine blow up toddler bed, fun duvet covers, toys, baby bath, high chair, toys, games and books.

Our Story

My name is Jackie and my husband is Matt. Having young children and pets ourselves we wanted to ensure that our accommodation could facilitate all groups of people wanting to get away but especially the needs of families. Therefore the need to be able to maybe store food for children’s fussy appetites or to heat a bottle in the middle of the night or just to be able to prepare your own meal was important to us. Also to be able to let your dog come away with you. We therefore wanted to ensure that not only couples, businessmen and woman etc could have a lovely stay but so could families too. Our other driving force was to have comfortable beds, feel good linen and clean accommodation. We hope when you come to stay that you will get all of this.

We have a passion for sport and therefore understand that your equipment is important to you. We offer the use of our garage and bike shed to securely store your equipment. We can also offer knowledge of trails and footpaths that cover the best locations of the area. We can also offer guided rides.
